Ultria has had a profound impact on me.
To be honest, after the campus placement process, I didn’t think that I would be able to get the job – it was very tough with multiple rounds and various seniors taking interviews. It was as if “Did I select the correct subjects for my Master’s Degree, and is there such a big gap between what is taught and what we do at work?” Long story short, I don’t think I did a very good job, but they saw something in me!
All that anxiety soon changed once I joined Ultria. I was always a bit timid, and remember being very nervous during the initial days. But today, almost a year into this my first full-time job, I feel a whole world of difference, not just in my work, but even at one’s personal level.
How do I feel working with Ultria? It’s AMAZING!
I am so proud of how much I have achieved in this short time – and it all comes down to my team at Ultria. They are always there to back you up, and sometimes forcing you to come out of your comfort zone. There is a real motivation to excel every day, and there are loads of opportunities to hone one’s existing skills and build new ones.
The most important thing is the sense of responsibility. To be frank, I was a bit unsure when I first began my journey at Ultria – a company into AI and Legal Tech. The new domain, coupled with my previous experience as an intern at a large MNC, tested my confidence on whether this was the right place. The previous job didn’t give me an idea of my contribution and value to the organization. Heck, I didn’t even think my work was at all important – and that is not a good feeling to have.
But over here it’s different – you are told the consequence and gravity of your task from Day 1, and when even the Co-Founder knows what you’re working on, it gives you an amazing boost. I remember not able to present in front of the co-founder – forget present, I was stumbling to communicate properly! And I used to wish that my turn does not come up.
But now all that fear is long gone, culminating with the co-founder presenting me with the “Rising Star” award at the Annual Day function.
We underestimate the power of mentorship, of ownership, and collaboration. It’s all about getting your people engaged, making them passionate about the work, and making sure they come to work each day with a sense of purpose.
That’s ultimately what’s going to drive your business – and your career!
